    Dear EU Compal costumers,

I would like to know if you are satisfied with the costumer service that Compal offers? I tried to contact them several times on their addresses found on their website, but unfortunately received only one answer ever since and no more.

What I tried to do was order two Bluetooth modules for JHL90s since I can not buy them in my country, Hungary. Unfortunately It as been more than three months since I got a reply that they could ship me the modules but nothing ever since. And if I understand correctly they would send them from Poland which is not that far away...

Could someone give some advice as what to do?

    Thank you for your answers.

I have the compal ifl90, which is essentially the same computer. About 2 weeks ago I got a bluetooth module off of ebay and it works in my laptop. The Ifl90 uses the Broadcom BCM2045 (Broadcom BCM92045MD) and I'm 99% sure the jfl90 does as well. The only problem with this is that its very hard to find this module under this name. Dell uses this same chip for their inspirons and vostros modles, but they modified their bluetooth module to take 10 pins instead of the 8 pins used for compal. I read somewhere of a guy that had an acer laptop and used the Broadcom BCM92045MD dell had, but rewired to pins to work in his acer. The Acer uses 8 pins just like compal, so I purchased the acer bluetooth module for their aspire 3100, 5100, 5110, 5610 series. It was seriously a plug it in and download the compal bluetooth drivers and it works perfectly.

Anyways, if your looking for the internal bluetooth module, it should be the same as what goes in my compal ifl90, Here's a link to the one I bought, and the best thing is that it costs about 11 bucks per unit. It took 2 weeks to arrive at my door step in the US and it ships from Hong Kong.

Ebay is definitely your best bet. That's where I got mine from.

Cool beans, the most important part of the module is how many pins it has. Your computer should have 8 and so does this module so it should work out nicely. Don't forget to install the drivers after you stick it in. The Compal drivers should work for it.

Ah, it has been a while since I had the time to get back to the forum… I would like to thank everyone for their replies and I will look on eBay for the module.

I still have not received any reply from the European contact of Compal. Highly disappointing I must say. I doubt I will ever receive one now, though. Just to be on the safe side I re-posted the mail to them a week ago so I could be sure of their total ignorance. And ignorance it is…
