I own a Compal FL90 for some years, yesterday I accidentally spilled a bit of water in the screen and it got behind it. However I tried to dry it with a hair dryer that can blow cold air as well, but you have to hold the cold button to make it blow cold air, and I accidentally left it on the laptop drying while I was trying to find a solution on the net and the plastic got a bit burnt.
The screen seems kind of ok, it's much better today than yesterday night so I guess it might get dry completely, however there's a white line that I don't know if it's caused because of the water or the hair dryer.
I have tried to contact Compal support to see if they can sell me some spare parts, but I don't know how expensive it will be to ship them to Spain
Do you know any other places I can get the pieces from?
The components I need are:
- The plastic power board that has the WOW Audio, WOW Video, Mute and Power On buttons
- Full LCD screen (are there better ones for this model?)
- The microphones that are next to the webcam
- The plastic front frame that has the 6 rubber pads that hides the screws to access the screen.
