Try to reinstall the card again, check if the heatsink really fits. Which MR HD3650 you have exactly? More importantly: Did you check every cable connecting the motherboard and the display? There are 3 of them, maybe one is not really plugged in?

Thanks for reply. Checked again, but no video on laptop monitor. Only external display is working when i connecting it. When i am changing back to geforce 8600mgt everything is working perfect. But the problem is that my geforce is dying.

I use bios version 1.18 as well. The VBios seems to be correct as well. I'm not sure what it could be. Let me think about it.

I have same problem with ATI 3650 in my compal fl90. Black screen, but external monitor works. I have to uninstall drivers, restart computer, install drivers again, and restart compal. Then i can unplug external monitor, because after all this things it's working (till next shutdown).

BIOS shows 256 of my graphic card memory (but i have 3650 with DDR2 512!).

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

    Thx,
    g-zs

Sadly I cannot give you my vbios as it is for the GDDR3 version. Maybe someone with a working ATI 3650 DDR2 512MB can give you their vbios?

Any update on this? Makes me nervous. My 8600gt died yesterday and I'm getting ready to order an hd3650 from Hong Kong.

Get the version with GDDR3 and you should be fine. It performs better anyway...

Sorry for hijacking this thread. HD3650 just came in. Would you recommend updating my bios to 1.18 before installing it? I think I have 1.09 right now.

Should not be necessary but it cannot hurt to have the newest bios version, I think they fixed some minor issues.
