    it's the ddr2 version.

    does any place sell it with the ddr3?

    no all the compals only have ddr2

    but with a regular wxga resolution you won't really notice a difference anyway.

    Even with the WSXGA+ resolution, you're not going to notice a huge difference. The additional RAM (most GDDR3 8600M cards only ship with 256 MB) does help to offset the slower speed somewhat.
