What is the use of wPrime, it seems to be a multithreaded benchmark tool, and our processors are dual cores, not multithreaded.

I have Vista Business and I'm having difficulty to download all those testings tools, any idea?

Also, I think you should ask the members for their wisdom in terms of which are the best and more relevant testing tools. I have seen some sites using different tools and getting different results, certainly some tools are not good or accurate. May be there is a site talking about the best tools. Once everyone agrees on the tools then it will be easy to post meaningful results.

I will start a thread to fufill the objective above.

Just noticed Dirt is getting about 200 marks more than you Wirelessman, this is probably negligible, but you do have a faster CPU, i assume that he's got newer drivers than you so getting the extra marks over yours... it'll be interesting to see the range of 3DMarks people get... im interested in RePaRaQu results, as im intending to get a really similar spec.

Hi Dirt, I notice that your display setup are higher then mine, 475/950/400 versus mine 169/475/275. Is this an XP feature or you also modified the defaults?

2D as in 2 Dimensions not 2nd. But it's weird my "standard 2d" clocks are: 169/338/100...

I know, 169 for 2D graphics, 475 for 3D performance and 275 for 3D Low power. These are the visual effects options, but believe me I have played with them but my WEI doesn't budge not even a little!

Since the wei is based on the lowest score you receive, the 4.6 you got is the vista aero score right? Overclocking the card doesn't change that or maybe you'de have to raise the clocks for the other 2 modes too... Aboout wprime, try running it as admin.

Yes it is my desktop windows aero. As I previously said, none of the visual effects impact the wei as it is supposed to (windows suggest to play with these options to imporve the wei).

The other lowest score (4.8), is on my RAM, which I'm too conservative to tweak it.

    I always run as admin.

I tried the latest one, and since it didn't work, then I tried the one before, but didn't work neither.

Weird because I tried launching it directly from the zip and it worked, but when I tried starting it from where I unpacked it it gave me the same message as you, but it eventually worked for no reason...
