I have 4gb ram on compal HEL80 with bios 1.23 and it only detects 3072mb in the bios, and windows only uses 3072 even windows x64, how can i use all 4gb??
-
No way, it is chipset restriction that doesn't allow you to use the 4GB RAM. AFAIK
-
As mentioned by grbac, there is a chipset limitation that prevents the use of 4GB (the limit is around 3.5GB). My HEL80 could only "see" 3.4GB.
-
But my don't even detect 3.4GB only 3.07GB how can I make it detect 3.4GB???

WSS doesn't work in 7.
-
What is WSS????
-
I've been trying to make it works in WS2008 64-bits with Vista 64-bits drivers but haven't got no luck until now. Have you already manage it in W7?
Wireless Select Switch, which is the application that allows you to control the wireless card and bluetooth enabling/disabling. -
Ive noticed this on my GF's HGL30 as well and this laptop is almot identical to the HEL80 with the exception of being a slight bit smaller. 3gb is enough for most people though and if you do run 2x 2gb sticks you get proper dual channel vs asynchronous dual channel with 1x 1gb and 1x 2gb where only 2gb of the mem is in dual channel and the other 1gb is run in single channel.

No, it doesnt...not much you can do yet. I never needed it, but it is nice to have...
