Have there been any updates to the Compal HGL30's Bluetooth Module? I can't seem to find an 'official' source for the drivers either. I am trying to get my computer connected to a Wiimote (the controllers for the Wii) and I figure maybe a driver update/firmware update may let me do that.
Is there an alternative program to the bloated Bluetooth drivers that come with the CD? The program and the background tasks that go with it take up a lot of ram, ~100MB, and I am a stickler for having as much free ram as possible (mainly because I play games with only 1 GB of ram)
Why is the Bluetooth module called "Broadcom 2045 Bluetooth 2.0 USB device" in device manager? Is it because it is the same technology as a USB dongle Broadcom offers or something?
Thanks![]()

The fingerprint reader, the webcam and the bluetooth are all hooked up to the USB bus, which is why you see that.
As for the 100MB, I don't know. I don't use Bluetooth really at all, except with my phone. -
I could never get any BT devices working on my hgl 30 until I installed the widcomm drivers...I believe the guide I used is here
