    Compal HGL30 CD Drive Problem

    I purchased a Compal HGL30 no longer under warranty. Well tonight the cd drive actually broke. Where can I purchase another CD/DVD/RW drive for this laptop and how hard are they to install?

    hehe i have no manual but i hope it won't be too difficult. I've built 5 or more desktop pc's. Hoping its as easy(ish)

    Do you have a driver's CD??? Look on that and you will find your manual.

    Also I see that they have the HGL31 but not the HGL30... However they do have the HEL80 which I think is the same optical drive as the hgl30 yes?

    Branded as the power pro L 8:15
    This should work aye?

    I downloaded the drivers from a website that had all the vista drivers they prolly have a manual there i'll check it out.
