I have been having over heating problems with this laptop for a while. My harddrive has been replaced at least 6 times so far and i only had it for a year now. So i am just wondering why it keeps over heating. The cores get really hot, i cleaned the dust out and stuff, but the laptop will shut down.

I dunno what to do anymore. I also bought a cooling pad, which it makes no difference at all. When the laptop is under stress the fan doesn't go at the highest speed to blow out the hot air.

What are your temps of the GPU and CPU when your "idleing"-doing basic things like surfing the web and when you are playing games or doing something processor intensive)? Check out this guide to see how to monitor your temps.

Right now at idle my temperature goes between 55 to 65C and my GPU stayed at 41 idle.

At gaming my GPU would go about maybe max 53C and cpu would be 75-80C

You could try Lavalys Everest, SpeedFan, Notebook Hardware Control.

Check at what temp CPU fan starts. My notebook fan starts when the temp goes up tp 55C and then stops when it drops to 48-49C. The GPU follows the CPu with the temp and is usually a few C below it. HDD is usually 38-40C, rarely comes to 43C(when defragmenting or when is higher air temp).

Could be that your fan is setup to start @65C and drops it to 55C and then stops. This would make all temps higher and could couse problems for HDD. But why is that so, if it is, I don't know.
    Hope this helps.

I don't know how to change the setting of the fan. I don't think a consumer can do that. Maybe some guys who aare retailers here on the forum could help you.

The best thing to do is call your reseller's tech support for help.

However it does appear that your high CPU temps are not too high when under stress, however your idle temps seem to be too high.
