I just upgraded to bios 1.13 for my Compal IFL90 hoping it would have more advanced options, but it doesn't!! The bios is so basic and only a few options are even editable. I need the bios to have the following options:

    Execute Disable Function Enable/Disable
    ACPI 2 Support Enable/Disable
    Speed step Enable/Disable

You're probably wondering why I want these options...an OS I'm trying to install requires these to be configured a certain way in order to run.

Does anyone know of anyway to get these options in the bios or at least a more advanced bios. I know this is a long shot, but I figured if anyone would know, I could probably find them here. Thanks in advance.

"Phoenix bios edit pro" might help you, if you know, how to edit bios.

Heh, trying an OSX86 installation perhaps?

I've already had Leopard working on my Compal. Only problems was sound, wireless, and sleep mode.

    hahaha....maybe. :)

It looks like I'm outta luck regarding the Bios options. I can't believe there aren't more advanced Bios options.

Installing OSX on a non-Apple machine is against the EULA, and against our forum rules. Please do NOT bring this up again.
