So I was just browsing the Compal-site when I noticed this model.

It's a 12" notebook, and judging by the webpage it's quite recent. The drivers are dated september 2007, so that's hardly a week. Anyone know more about it?

Quite interesting is that the driver page has an HDMI folder in it, although the specs page says nothing about it.

Found this pic on a Swiss website:

no HDMI support or built in hardware, but it might be an option for other built to order vendor.

Excellent build quality, finally available in the US, but does not and will not support Penryn so we are probably not going to carry it. 12" models don't sell that well in the US, and to start carrying it just before Penryn is released doesn't make sense to us...unless maybe we get different feedback here.

well it might be a good idea coming to think how prices might (and I guess should) drop after penryn is released, having a good santa rosa 12,1" with a nice price tag and quite an original design, not to mention the rigid compal build - well, it might just fill up a hole on the market. current 12,1" situation looks grim over here - if you want to save up - you're mostly stuck with 15,4".

we'll see. thanks for the feedback ;)
