Hello everyone! Even though this is my first post, I have been a silent observer within this community and with the great insight and knowledge provided from members, have decided that the KHLB2 is the best choice for me!

Now I have one uncertainty… do I stick with the T6400 processor or upgrade for $100 to the P8700. Through my research I have found that the 35w versus 25w difference can play a role in battery life but is not fairly significant. I know that the P8700 is faster in every aspect by a certain margin and has a larger cache but I don’t know to interpret these numbers into functionality, and if the difference would be significant or negligible.

My most intensive use will be playing games and streaming HD video. I play World of Warcraft as embarrassing as admitting this fact might be haha, I can play for several hours in a sitting and would like to know if the difference in processors would be worth the $100 upgrade, assuming there is a difference in the first place.

I really look forward to hearing back from everyone and thank you for reading this and giving me your time. Take care.

    Regards, Benjy

From my personal experience... go with the P8700. Not only does it draw less power it also produces less heat, and anything inside my laptop that produces less heat is something I consider significant.

Preformance wise, I would definitely go with the P8700 also... for a $100 its totally worth it.
