    Hi,
I am new to this forum.

    I have bought a compal NBLB5 with an Core i5 540m and a ATI 5650 (madison).

Since i loved the idea of switchable graphics i got to a point where i need to disable the Intel integrated one.

I found with google the some Lenvo Notebooks have a BIOS entry to enable or disable either the ATI or the Intel one.

Since i like to work on windows xp switchable graphics won't work.
I can only manage to get the Intel one to work.
If i disable the Intel one the ATI driver wont start.

So i am writing here to get some help and maybe a solution for my problem.

    Thanks for reading

Can try to use ezh2o 2.1.0.13: to change the bios graphics mode from iGPU to dGPU.

Other solution may be to use DIY ViDock Setup 1.0e2+ to disable the IGP then chainload into XP. Would need to use the automated startup.bat to test since no messaging would be displayed until XP initialised the ATI driver. Not sure if this would even work. The HD5650 would need to enable the LVDS mux to access the internal LCD which I believe does via ACPI DSDT table calls.

Thanks for the reply and for that information

I don't know much about BIOS edition and so i don't think i would do it by my own. Maybe some1 in this forum.
Here is the link to the BIOS

The software solution with disabling the ATI card didn't work. (maybe i don't get it).

I got it working that no error appears and just comes to the Boot item select and it's the same as i just bootet.
It doesn't save my config too.
    Do you got any suggestions?

    Thanks :)
