Is Compal planning to use the new 45nm AMD chipsets?

Yes, it was just out as demos at CeBIT show. A product road map is planned when new products like this is advertised. That's why I was wondering if Compal has it on its portfolio.

I think it will be launched on the second half of 2008.

Compal is unlikely to use AMD processors for quite some time.

Sorry guys, I wasn't focused on models with integrated video, nor models that have not made an appearance in the US market.

Since AMD still lags in performance, even with their 45nm processor, and it doesn't have a discrete video card, I doubt that we will see it as a player here in the US...

I apologize for my tunnel vision.

What I heard is that the new chipset with the integrated video is really gear for gamers, this means that it is performant, doesn't it?

AMD must get into the laptop market if they want to improve their stock value, otherwise we will lose another good American company.
