Hi, today after I got working WSS thanks to Slan. So I tried other Compal drivers/utilities, but only few of them are working. Program DJ is not working at all (after launch it just flashes...), WOW video and audio work, but somehow strange. but WOW video is useless anyway. And that fingerprint software is working, BUT your pasword cannot contail capital letters, or it wont login. Other seems to work. Does anybody know how to run program DJ, or how to make fingerprint software to accept capital letters?

    Dear B.Gen.Jack.O.Neill,

What is the fingerprint software in question? I use the UPEK “Protector Suite Software” that came on the CD with my JHL90. This is Version 5.8.2., Build 4414. It can be downloaded from Compal’s homepage. I have not experienced any problem with capital letters. I do not know if this help you though.

sungam, what are you getting? No bluetooth device detected? If so, what happens is that WSS is a hardware switch and thus your bt radio is disabled. I had this once and to workaround, since I couldn't make it work in WS2K8 either, I instaled a tiny-express version of Windows XP, enabled it with WSS (Fn + F2).

In Windows 7 it had the Windows Stack drivers installed by default, but since it didn't allowed me to turn on/off the radio I also installed the WIDCOMM drivers (BTW_6.2.0.9200 ) because it's manager allows me to do it and installs other drivers to support bt protocols (AV Remote, Headset AG, Remote Control, etc). I also changed the generic chosen driver for a specific one - I hacked my bt radio firmware with the Anycom USB-250 UHE (same Broadcom 2045 chip) because they have a better driver support.

The thing is that when you try to install WSS it tends to somehow disable this bt hardware control feature ("Turn Adapter Off" goes away) and you must unistall/reinstall the WIDCOMM drivers.

If you have any lucky with WSS and HEL80 please let me know!
