    Compaq C751nr shuts down

    I have Compaq C751nr that starts up and show the Compaq screen, after that it clicks and shuts down. But the the funny thing about it, sometimes it would boot up and stay on for a while, but then shuts down again. I am running windows 7. Need some help here please

    this is Compal subforum, not Compaq, sorry=)

    However, it seems like it is overheating and shuts down to prevent damage. How old is it? Have you ever cleaned the dust out of the vents with compressed air? It could be as simple as that
