Differences are quite big, but at the pictures you can't see that quite well!
I also want to discuss some (dis)advantages of the 6625WD in comparison with the 6224W:
Disadvantages:
- He is quite heavier! They say it's only 350 grammes, but it's quite heaver imho!
- The screen is very nice qua resolution and the glare-layer don't disturb me at all
(my 6214W had also a glare screen) but the brightness of the 6625WD is quite a-relaxed :-s
Even at the lowest level off brightness I can't work properly on it because I have to 'close'
my eyes a little bit
- He's got 4 USB-ports, quite nice but it are 2 x 2 ports! I mean that they are directly next/ above
eachother and most of the usb-devices are bigger so you can't put in 2 usb-devices next/ above to
eachother! At my 6224W I also have got 4 USB-ports, but that are: 1 at the lefside/ 1 at the lefside
and 2 at the rear of the laptop!
- I really don't like the keyboard of the 6625WD! There is a lot of keyboardflex on it!
I don't know it's because of the assemblage or not, but I've I have bought this laptop and get it with
such a keyboard I really should send it back to replace it :-s But I've read that most of the 6625WD'ers are irritating themselves at the keyboardflex so that don't have to be discussed anymore!
- The touchpad is really sh*tty! I haven't got an extra mouse here so I have to work with the touchpad on the 6625WD, but I have to scroll more than 4 times on the touchpad to get from the
leftside of the screen to the rightside of the screen :-s I haven't installed special drivers for it, but I
also didn't done that on my 6224W and that works properly and quite well for me!
- I Think it's strange that there aren't F-buttons to control the musicvolume with the FN-button...
It's a multimedia-laptop with the mm-buttons at the front, but the musicvolume can't be easily changed?
EDIT: Volumebuttons are on the right side of the laptops so this point isn't a disadvantage
Little points about the design that I really don't love:
- The 'button' to open the laptop is at the rightside and not in the middle
- The little holes for the 'buttons' are really big holes imho
- There are only 3 uninteresting leds on the front of the laptop
- The rest is right under the screen, blinking and blinking :-s
- Big silver mousebuttons under the touchpad
- Big buttons for internet/ email/ P1 and P2
- The edge around the screen is very small
Advantages:
- Mediabuttons are really really nice! Working properly with WMP!
- Scrollfunction at the touchpad works also quite nice!
- Webcam is a nice feature
But this little points don't convince me to buy a 6625WD:
- Mediabutton functions are the internet/email/P1 & P2 buttons on my 6224W
- I always use a mouse with a scroll function, so I don't need the touchpad scroll function
- Webcam is a nice feature, but it's not so important that I don't gonna buy a laptop without having one
Little points about the design that I really love:
- Color of the keyboard, quite nice, different than other laptops
- On/off button is very cool with that blue led in it
I only gonna buy a 6625WD when using it as a desktop replacement
with a dockingstation and a normal keyboard connected to it!![]()

looks like my 6625, exept I dont have that sticker under the arrow buttons
-
Could you tell me what kind of port there is underneath the laptop..?
It is kind of sealed with two little 'doors'.. -
Yeah I don't have that sticker either! But thanks for pics
Anyone ?
-
You're welcome!
They are all made at 'macro-modus' -
I think the port is for the docking station, last I checked.
And what a lovely background on that 6224. -
And I've made that wallpaper myself: -
So, you're planning on doing a review of 6625W since you've received the laptop? *hopes high*
-
Just like this one you mean: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=138893
I'm not allowed to because he hasn't got a 'regular' processor ;-)
So I am not allowed to post benchmarks/ fps/ screens and so on!
I'm sorry! But check the first post of this topic for my findings about
the (dis)advantages of this 6625WD in comparison with my own 6224W! -

The volume can be easily changed by 2 little buttons on the right side of the laptop... No need for Fn buttons
-
EDIT: They are even moved from the first post.. pfffff that's quite a-chill :-s
