My Averatec 3270 is having a problem keeping track of time. If I leave the computer off for an extended period of time, then turn it on--the clock is completely wrong! A friend of mine told me that it is a problem with the computer clock's battery. I didn't know this was possible. Is this the case? I have no idea what I should do--should I panic? Is this a big deal if left untreated...I bought the notebook 2 months ago.

    thanks!

It may be a bad battery, which is a concern since that's what keeps certain parts of your machine running. I'd call Averatec and ask for a fix.

Most likely the battery, doesn't really look like a big issue to me, its just the clock right? Nothing life threatening to the notebook. Although the battery should not fail within just 2 months.
