The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

Thanks to Brian the admin for allowing us to have a Compal forum, as well as to those who helped petition for it!

I'll write a detailed faq after I wake up, later on today to get things started :D

The problem with that is you would have to have Zepto, ChemBOOK, Crown, PowerPro and several other brands that use Compal shells.

I think it is really up to each of the different brands to make it clear that their models are by Compal so that Compal becomes more of a known name. Compal has been around making latpop shells for decades longer than ASUS and they are the 2nd largest (2nd only to Quanta) shell maker in the world.

Here is how we do it for our Compal models.

I would recommend starting a new thread regarding audio and speaker quality. If I answer here it would just be buried and hard to find.
