im assuming because it has a "Biometric Fingertip Reader" its a Ifl90, let me know. now about the laptop:

    1. hows the build quality
    2. does the keyboard flex and how thin are the keys? are they like acer keyboards which are nice to press and not chunky like the asus keyboards?
    3. is the small touchpad a problem? will my arm start to hurt because of the size of it?
    4. does it get really hot after watching videos or gaming or doing normal tasks?
    5. can it be used on my lap all the time without any heat reducing pads?
    6. the above site has (1440 X 900) + ANTI-GLARE, is this a matte screen? i want to watch videos on it and this isnt the best option since it reduces colours on the screen? or does it not? hows the screen quality for people who have this screen, grainy? Etc. ?
    7. is that site reliable because its the cheapest price for the laptop. (UK)
    8. anyone having problems with this laptop?

    Hope you can help, thanks.
(Ps. il change the above configuration later on e.g. processor + HD space.)

    > im assuming because it has a "Biometric Fingertip Reader" its a Ifl90, let me know.

    You are correct.

    > now about the laptop:
    > 1. hows the build quality

    Quite rigid, and durable.

    > 2. does the keyboard flex and how thin are the keys? are they like acer
    > keyboards which are nice to press and not chunky like the asus keyboards?

My keyboard is very nice, though I've seen comments here that people had issues with flexing. (I was used to a ThinkPad G40's keyboard, and this one didn't cause me any annoyance).

    > 3. is the small touchpad a problem? will my arm start to hurt because of the size of it?

It's usable. But in general, I almost always hook up a mouse, because I hate touchpads.

    > 4. does it get really hot after watching videos or gaming or doing normal tasks?

    Videos? No.
Gaming? Gets pretty warm (not hot), but the fan cools it down quickly once you stop.
Normal Tasks? Not hot at all.

    > 5. can it be used on my lap all the time without any heat reducing pads?

Not if you are going to be playing any games that make heavy use of 3d graphics...

    > 6. the above site has (1440 X 900) + ANTI-GLARE, is this a matte screen?

I don't know. This summer, when the 1440x900 screen option was first announced, it was stated they would all be glossy (in the US at least).

    > i want to watch videos on it and this isnt the best option since it reduces colours on the screen? or does it not? hows the screen quality for people who have this screen, grainy? Etc. ?

I've got the wsxga+ (1680x1050) matte screen, and love it.

    > 7. is that site reliable because its the cheapest price for the laptop. (UK)

    Can't help ya there.

    > 8. anyone having problems with this laptop?

Haven't seen much in the way of complaining here in the forum. Mine's been great the whole time (coming up on 3months).
