looks good. but do you really want an XL sleeve, isnt L sufficient for a 15" laptop?
If you want to play games alot then you may want a 7200rpm harddrive over the 5400rpm you have chosen, it worth sacrificing some space for this, as you can easily get an external hardrive very cheaply -
So a 7200rpm 120GB? I'm actually unsure on the case as it was the only option given to me...no option for the large...
-
yep thats a better option will definatly be worth the extra cost/loss of space.
on the sleeves im not so sure, the XL sleeve has no description to its, whereas in the accessorys the L says it is for 15" laptops, and there is no XL even in accessories, so dont know what thats about, but the option they give you is usually right ( try emailing Zepto about it) -
I would stick with the 160GB 5400rpm. It makes no differance for the game FPS but games do load a bit quicker with a 7200RPM disk. The 100GB 7200RPM disk is a generation older then the 160GB 5400rpm disk and the performance differance is not as great as between a 160GB 5400rpm and a 160GB 7200rpm disk. The 160GB 5400rpm disk is good value for money and fast enough.
You order looks good. -
are you sure?? this is the information the zepto website gives on hardrives
A 5400 rpm hard disk drive is recommended to those users who only need to surf the Internet, watch movies and work with office applications.
If you need a hard disk drive that can handle heavier graphical tasks or games that require speed and a lot of reading from the hard disk drive, you should choose a 7200 rpm hard disk drive. -
Yes I am sure. It only effects load times of the games and not in game performance. A 5400rpm disk is fast enough for gameing. 90% of all notebooks come with a 5400rpm disk. Even "gameing systems" such as the Asus G1s only come with a 5400rpm disk. 7200rpm is nice to have but not a must have.
Heavy graphical task such as video and photo editing (large pictures) benefit much more since they constantly read and write to the hard disk. But even they would benefit from a Ram upgrade more then from an upgrade from 5400 to 7200rpm. -
oh ok sorry bout that
-
Right, ill stick with that. Here the email regarding the sleeves i got back
"The Large sleeve will be acceptable, I think that will give it a snug fit, the XL may give a bit of extra room as well"
so im ordering the size L.
Once I've got this new fangled machine I'll probably put a review up with pictures.
Could you check over my order?
