    Hi,

I have two questions regarding this laptop:

    1) Does anyone know where I can get drivers for the video card (8600m), other than the installation CD? I'm using a vista system. According to the Nvidia website, I'm supposed to get them from the manufacturer, but I can't find any.

    2) The 'n'-key on my keyboard is hypersensitive, if I just slighty touch it, it will give an n (obviously). Is there anyway of fixing this without breaking the laptop or sending it back. This is not so very important, but it gets on my nerves sometimes

Thanks, I just find it a bit odd that Compal doesn't release drivers of its own.

Here is the driver download page for Bizcom--a wholly owned subsidiary of Compal. http://www.bizcom-us.com/support/

That's the closest thing you'll get to an "official" Compal driver page. Compal just wants to produce the notebooks and leaves it to those downstream (subsidiaries, resellers, etc.) to sell and service them.

Yeah, unfortunately the bizcom site download rate is EXTREMELY slow. I would avoid that site if you can.

well i personally plan to use these drivers for the graphics drivers at least for others to mature more since there is little support for the 8m series for some reason..

I wonder if it's OK to upload the drivers to a Rapidshare account, if so, I'll do that and post links when done.

There shouldn't be any problem making a driver pack and uploading it somewhere.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but does anyone know who the motherboard manufacturer is for the IFL 90?
