The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

There is way too much cross topic posting in threads to start flame wars. There are plenty of threads in this forum for everyone to support the company they choose. People need to grow up and self-moderate a little. Support whomever you wish but there is no need to go into a specific thread and post things that will irritate people.

This was posted for absolutely NO REASON in the Nagamaki thread (both quotes are in the same post):
At first read I want to reply, " Since when?" I have been following Killer Notebooks for years. From heat sink mods, to case mods, to custom software like the Boost Button and the KN Core Optimization Program and their tweaks that won the Fastest Notebook in the World Shootout, they always have the latest stuff and technology months before anyone else...

BUT... THAT IS WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO DO. They want you to get in an arguement. Soon someone complains and the thread is locked. Threads are locked over bickering all the time.

Think before you reply and try not to flame each other. Why respond to bating like that anyway? The person quoted a company representative from their own company forum with 50% lower frames per second and says, "They can do it too"? That is something you don't need to respond to. It's a response in itself. Just keep reading on.

Let's please respect the topics and everyone has a thread that they can express themselves in without starting flame wars for no reason. In short, everyone needs to grow up a litle and self-moderate. Let's not get any more people banned.

I understand what you are saying and I really do hope for such a day when people DO self moderate...

The sad fact is that even when the rules in the forum are blatant and mutually agreed upon, people STILL abuse them...

*shakesHead* All anyone can do is try to simply control themselves...

mark isnt the only one doing mods as anyone with enough knowledge can pull it off, stuff like tweaks, fans, windows optimizer, etc, if its the same hardware why should mine be slower than yours, anyways im obviously not going all out with power, just enough to get me through, u may as well call xoticpc a liar then if u think im wrong... also anything over 12000 3dmark is good enough for my favorite games: tf2/css/cod4

Hey, you're right. I don't want to flame anyone in the thread about NOT FLAMING. Show me a link to one mod they have done so I can check it out.

this a new laptop marks only one doing work on it right now, i dont think mark did any real mods like custom heatsink or what not just driver tweaking and overclocking and with good results so far
