Someone told me this so I'm trying to verify its validity. Does crossfire support multiple monitors? Do you really only get one extra + the laptop monitor?

I was told you're stuck with one output. True/False?

p.s search didnt reveal any answers

What you were told is correct. Crossfire puts two cards together to form one set of outputs.

Depends on how many video output ports there are.

So I could only hook up one extra monitor to either of the cards and use that with the existing laptop screen?

you can extend it through VGA port if the resolution is less than 2048x1536
not sure the limit if it's DVI but it's probably meow.
