So i was playing Crysis earlier on my HEL80 and had good 25-30 fps with mostly all medium settings. Then i start the game up again and I'm getting horrible 2-5 fps. I don't understand it, and i seem to get that fps every time now. I have updated to the latest forceware for my go 7600. I also downloaded a program called Crysis benchmarker and ran it. It opens up the game and ghosts around a level. I get normal 25-30 fps with the benchmarker, but when I load up the game after that I get **** fps. I just don't understand it![]()
And the more confusing thing is that if i set everything to low spec, i don't get any change in fps.

The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
Might be the resolution or some video settings like shadow or something like that.

That is strange. Look for changes in background processes, or maybe new graphical effects since the higher performance. (For instance, in FFXI my HEL80 runs great until spell effects go off, at which point it slows to a crawl until the animation is done.)
Maybe also check for some kind of software rendering mode. It's hard for me to believe that Crysis, of all games, would have something like that, but Idunno... -

It could be that your graphic card reduces the frequency(speed) of GPU and memory and that is resulting in lower fps. That could be due to high temp but then again if this is true, then it is strange coz HEL80 is a pretty cold notebook and its 7600 as well. Check the temps and the freqs with some software(Everest) and then get back.
P.S. Is your graphic card overclocked? If yes then that is your problem and the solution.
P.S.S. Does the restarting the notebook resolves the problem for a while(until it reduces again)? -

Can you please check the freqs of the GPU and memory.

EDIT: ok so i reinstalled and im getting a good fps now. I don't know what the problem was, maybe it was because of a custom mod i installed. -
^^^Most probably the mod as you already ended all background processes.
