I had a quick look on the re-designed UK Zepto website, and on the product page it lists the 6615 as having a Crystal Clear screen now. However on the configuration page it doesn't mention this. What is the case? I assume this means it has a glare type screen. If it does now, that certainly puts me off buying one, as the matte screen was the main reason I wanted to get one, since other brands did not really offer this. Thanks

When I got mine I took some pictures where you might get an impression of how much the display is glare or not.

It is not the "glas like" display as with the Asus A6J or the Sony Vaio FE21S which friends of mine have.

I know they've switched between matte and glossy a couple of times due to consumer demand--but I'm unfortunately not sure where they landed (or if they changed the 6615WD's screen at all).

The 2425W has a matte screen if you choose the WSXGA+.

The 6615WD has never had a Crystal Clear LCD and does not at current time either. :)

OK can you please ask whoever is responsible to correct the webpage at some point? Cos it currently says "Online Discount!

    15.4" WSXGA Crystal Clear 1680x1050"

But thanks for sorting that out.

Also on the redesigned UK website I could not see the TV tuner option....

We are aware of it, but the person in charge of the UK website is out of the office until March 9th i believe.

Asa further point in general.......obviously the screen resilution on the 6615 is 1680 x 1050 and I have contacted Zepto and been told it is Matt (preferable in my opinion). Now am I correct in thinking that games powered by the grahpics chip would be able to run clearly at the resoltion? If so and you have to take the resolution down in doing so the display would be comparable to displays of the resolution you take it down...i.e not inferior to a natural 1280 x 800?

You can play games at the native 1680x1050 resolution. I have played every game so far on my HEL80 (Znote 2425W equivalent) in WSXGA+ without any problems. Now depending on how demanding a game is, and the settings you will want to play at--you may have to drop the resolution for higher framerates.

LCDs look best at their native resolution. But most gamers here note that while gaming it's not really a big deal.
