    Hello,
I found these two very nice looking computers and was wondering what everyone thought of them and if anyone has experience with them or the company

    Cyberpower XPlorer X5-6000
    http://www.cyberpowersystem.com/highendsystem/ntbkx56000.asp?v=d
    P4 3 GHz
    1024 Mb Memory
    60 GB 7200 RPM HD
128 MB 9600 Mobile ATI Radeon
    For about $1800

    Cyberpower XPlorer X64-8000
    http://www.cyberpowersystem.com/highendsystem/ntbkx648000.asp?v=d
    AMD Mobile Athlon 64 3000+
    1024 Mb Memory
    60 GB 7200 RPM HD
128 MB 9600 Mobile ATI Radeon
    For about $1850

I like the 64-bit CPU in AMD but the 6000 is so small (1.3 height compared to 1.62 height). Also, it looks like both only come with an 8 cell battery. How much will the non-mobile P4 be affected by this small battery?

    Any opions welcome.

    John

Well I don't know if people don't read the other manufacturers topics or if no one has this computer, but if anyone reads this and has an opinion please post. If not it looks like a great deal, so I'll post how it turns out.

They seem like great computers, but I have heard some pretty bad things about cyberpower... the prices can't be beat, but the customer support is horrendous.

Yes cyberpower has a bad rep on the internet for horrible support and warranty. If you were buying a desktop from them you cant go wrong since desktops are easily and relatively cheaply fixed by oneself. However notebooks are a different thing. If your looking for a P4 system look into Sager. They are highly reguarded. I love my Sager 5690. (powernotebooks.com & discounlaptops.com) If your looking for a AMD 64 system its a little harder. If your dead set on an AMD checkout IBUYPOWER.com its basically the same but ive read better thigns about them. Either way with and AMD ull be taking some kind of a risk if u dont dish out the cash and go for a more mainstream distributor.

Is it just me or are they just selling Voodoo knockoffs at lower prices? They even have the same Far Cry promotion that Voodoo do.
