I changed mine to the vendor BTO in this case.
Looks great, just just the tool the vendor supplied me with.

Do you have a guide how to change the boot logo? I'd like to change it to Sager or something, rather than the bland Phoenix BIOS logo that comes up.

I tried downloading the bios edit utility from the second link and got a warning from my antivirus (avast) about a trojan. It may be an error by avast but still please be careful.

Delta90, you're using an old version of the Phoenix BIOS Editor, presumably 2.1.

I had the same problem when I wanted to change the boot logo on my IFL90, and I was told to download the newest 2.2 version of the Phoenix BIOS Editor. Here's a link to download it:

    http://rapidshare.com/files/42340978/PhoenixBiosEditor2.2.zip.html

NOTE: The whole idea of paying for PBE is indeed absurd. There seem to be some weird policies working on this, but all I know is that Intel provides PBE 2.1 free to download at their site (Although I can't find the link right now).

    Thank you very much!!!!
    Everything is working now!!!

Now is the time to give my creativity to fly out :p

May be you know, how to create more tabs on the splash screen edit window?

This in case if I want to insert more then one picture.
And how to adjust picture position?
The default is center. And what if I want left, right, down, up, corner.
    Thank you again!!!!

Delta90h Is doing well and his notebook also.

    :D

But I just did not tryed to change logo yet. Because changing the BIOS logo it is not on my urgent list and I have many other things to do, accept messing up with my laptop. More then this I did not find yet any interesting concept to change logo. May be one day I will do that.

About recovering on IFL90/90+/91, you'll have to insert a USB floppy in the "upper right" usb port. At least i had to.

Then, with no battery, and the cable not plugged in, i inserted the floppy with the recovery software and bios inside it. I held FN+B while inserting the power cord. While still holding FN+B i pressed the power button. When the drive begins to read you can let FN+B go. Wait until it auto shutdown.
    Unplug power. Unplug floppy drive.

    Boot as usual

That's one way of recovery for bad bios.
The other is running this from USB-STICK.

@ RePaRaQu when you flash the Bios to 116 does the BTO Splash screen remain?

Or do you get Phoenix Splash Screen?

No it's replaced with the default Phoenix logo.
I must reflash my BIOS again to get the BTO logo back.
I do this by running a noN BIOS flash, to only adjust the adress which holds the LOGO.
I can ask my vendor if I am allowed to put the non BIOS flash online so you can edit this on your own !!!!!!!RISK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How a noN BIOS flash is done???

pls upload your vendor Bios Image!!

    _______________________________________________
    edit:

I was able to bring my Bios on the Screen:

    but it doesnt boot...
Only the Image is shown and nothing happens...

I took the latest BIOS 116 and edited with Phownix Bios Editor 2.2.
After i created a CRISIS disk an flashed it with the USB-Floppy.
But it's rubbish only the screen is shown -.-

So i have to go back to the Orginal Bios 116 via CRISIS Method

    Here a statement from Compal:

BIOS editor 2.2 we provided does not support Santa Rosa platform. It needs a new BIOS editor and Compal didn’t buy the license. So, we can not provide it in our website.
