    I've just ordered an IFL 90 ;-) at laptops4u.nl
They also have a VBI (Verified By Intel) version, but theonly difference I (and they) could find was the screen resolution and, of course, the price. The one I ordered has the WSXGA+ (1680x1050) resolution, the VBI version was WXGA+(1440x900). I can't imagine that Intel cares about the screen resolution since that's one of the few parts they have no alternative for...

Does anybody know what else could be different?

Hi The VBI version is different in the following ways:

    1. WXGA+ Screen 1440 x 900
    2. LCD Back Cover has a placeholder for Customisable notebook panels.
    3. No TV tuner option
    4. Bluetooth is an option, not standard.
    5. Only ships with 6 Cell Battery.
    6. The Power and multimedia buttons are different.

    Still a great system though.

Does that mean that there's no piano painted cover?

Dont think so...what would be the point if they're expecting it to be covered?

I think I'll stick to the version I ordered

    • 2 x 1GB Ram
    • 160 GB 7200 rpm hd
    • 1GB Robson
    • TV tuner + remote
    • WSXGA+ screen
    • 8600m GT 512 MB
    • 9 cell battery

If you stick to 4 decks or less you should be fine. Hopefully the frame rate wont drop too much at the end when you win and all the cards start flying around.

So they really want other companies to put their own logo on the cover?

what do you mean like the customer? or the manufacturer/reseller?

The laptops still look good without the covers but if the customer wants their own graphic on it then some people might find that appealing.

I have a VBI HGL30 but I didn't opt in for the cover and its fine...still looks smart.

I think they're aiming it at more corporate environments where u could offer these laptops and say...your corporate logo on it if you wanted...I dont know how many people actually take it up though.
