I was kind of wondering what is the difference between the HEL80 and EL80.

Let me further elaborate on this:

On rjtech, there is a Compal EL80. On the other sites, it states Compal HEL80.

    Are there any "real" differences?

Please try to search for the answer, as this has been covered a number of times.

The EL80 is what the VBI (verified by Intel) version is normally listed as, while the regular version is normally listed as the HEL80. Note I said normally.

chrisyano: Well the thing is there are two different EL80's listed on rjtech's site. One of them is the EL80 "VBI" version while the other states an EL80 version. I was wondering if there was a difference between the two.

The EL80 version's picture on their site seems to indicate an HEL80 as of many on this forum has.

But then again, I can't verify whether or not it is a HEL80, or the VBI EL80 version.

That's why I gave you the list of features that aren't on the VBI--so that you could compare them. But since they specify that one is VBI, that should answer your question. To make absolutely sure, check their specs against the list I gave you above.

BTW, that link doesn't work for some reason.
