I would like to know what the difference is between the 8600gt in a IFL90 with 1280x800 resolution and the 8600gt in an IFL90 with higher resolution, other then the difference in memory.

More than likely nothing. The lower memory version may have lower clockspeeds, but that hasn't been proven or disproven yet.

Simple answer...nothing other than the amount of memory. An 8600M GT is an 8600M GT.

Anybody know how much that difference in memory would affect game performance?

Depends on which game and which settings you use.

Ah, that sounds great, because the ifl90 with 1280x800 resolution has a delivery time of 6-8 days here in Belgium and the ifl 90's with a higher resolution. And since I don't really mind having a lower resolution screen I'll go for that.

Would a smaller resolution give any benefits to the batterij life?
