    Hey,
After searching the GL30, I've noticed that some of them have the Geforce Go7600(G73M), and other the G73M V. Does someone know what does the V stand for, is there any difference in those two cards?
    Thanks,
    Mike

what chipset is the notebook? if it's 945GM it's using Intel GMA 950
    if it's 945PM it's using a dedicated GPU

From googling it seems that G73MV might be a powered up version of GMA 950
that notebook is using Core Uno? from what I've read G73MV and Core Uno seem to be marketing tactics to make you think it's better than it is

Just looked up at the specs again, and it's the 945GM , so the graphics are not dedicated

...lol...just found another one with the 945PM, and with the G73MV, so that just got me confused. Now I just don't know what it really is.

If you have the HGL30 (not the HGL31) you have the nVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 w/256MB. That is the only way they come.

Intel 945GM chipset will support BOTH integrated (Intel GMA950) and discrete (nVIDIA 7600) video cards so don't let that confuse.

Where are you looking at these specifications?

    paladin44:
this website shows that it has Intel 945GM as a chipset, and Integrated nVIDIA G73MV (supports 256MB) as the graphics:
    http://www.shentech.com/vbchgl30kitdh.html

but the other site, states that is has the same graphic card, but the Intel 945PM chipset instead http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290104960100&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_RCRX_Pr2_PcY_BIN_IT&refitem=290100267223&itemcount=2&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&usedrule1=CrossSell_LogicX&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget

So this is what gets me confused, I want to order from Shentech due to their low price, but I dont want to get the intergrated Intel graphic card, so I want to be 100% sure if Shentech is selling the one with Dedicated Gefore card.

Well, when you go to http://www.shentech.com/vbchgl30kitdh.html
it shows 14.1 Intel 945PM NB W/Ba at the top of that page, and then in the specifications it shows the 945GM which is a mistake.

This is the VBI version so it is not the same as the HGL30 Channel version that is on our website.

In addition, before you get too excited about that low price you should check them out at http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Shentech Their customer service score is pretty bad :(

Now your eBay reseller is simply full of it. He says he is the only provider for this item (simply not true) but he has to special order it...what a line of garbage.

I'd go with Donald on this one. My take is pretty simple when it comes to websites I'm trying to buy something from...

If the seller isn't honest enough to tell me what they are selling in the same lingo as the competition, I can't trust they are honest enough to give me a good deal..

Things like that border on false advertising because that model doesn't exist on nVidia's roadmap, which means it could be anything from an honest typo, to trying to make it sound "uber"... in light of an honest typo, read what I stated above..

Definitely look into resellerratings for every online company you buy from.. you never know if they will be good or not..
