Hi All,
I have Eluktronics Mech-17 (i7-8750H, GTX 2070) and the screen was popping out of bezel which I had to push it back in every once in a while. Now the display is flickering and screen is completely loose. I suspect it's the cable since it's the only thing attached to display. If it's the cable, anywhere to buy it and is it easy to replace? I'm not very handy but can manage if not too complicated. Unfortunately, sending it to Eluktronics is not an option for me. Beside, it's already out of warranty.

That second picture is kind of hard to understand, hard to see the whole problem by any of those pics. Depending on where you are you should be able to find an equivalent screen or cable, but cable would need to be disconnected from the mobo which might be quite a job since these aren't really designed to be taken apart easily. If the screen is barely hanging on I would make sure to use some sort of tape to keep it there might be too late though. Maybe just use this as a fixed external video out option.
Here's a link to the model number etc

Sorry about the pictures. I hope this one is more clear. Thanks for the links hertzian56. I think it's worth getting the cable and see if it works. It doesn't look too complicated when I checked youtube.
RealBACONATOR2, I've seen that when I searched the forum here but in my case it is most likely the cable since it happend when the screen completely came off the bazel. I really hope it's not the chipset since I'm overseas now and can't send it to Eluktronics.Attached Files:

Yeah makes sense to do the cheapest option first, have to tear it down to where it connects to the mobo though ouch. Alternately have you tried doing video out to an external screen to see if it repeats the issue? Have to push win-p and set it to second screen only. If it does it could be the gpu/chipset, if not then screen cable etc

Oh nvm I wasn't paying attention to your pics, looks like the mobo-cable connector is already exposed, really cool design. Yeah definitely try the cable if the video out test doesn't have any problems. If the video out test works fine then it's either the screen or cable.

Same problem with my TongFang GK7 laptop, display is flickering, i tried to replace display, replaced original NV173FHM-N44 (BOE07B6) with innolux n173hce-g33 (original boe is out of stock). New Innolux display is working, it don't have artifacts and it's not flickering, but brightness is very low (in bios and in OS) and unchangeable, i can't regulate brightness level. What to do?

I was wondering if anyone has a clue whether a 2k or 4k display with same connector would work with this motherboard?

Since the laptop is a little old, you might find an unlocked bios.
