Will you be able to use a docking station for this systems? If so, are the docking station the same as for the 6214?

    Thanks!

There is no docking for the 6224W and there was no docking for the 6214. The only docking station is for the 6615WD and I am not sure it works with the 6625WD but I think it should.

Like I said the docking station is only available for the 6615WD.

I think it should work with the 6625WD but I dont know. I am only basing this on the fact that the body of the 6615 and 6625 are the same.

    The featuers are:
    - 1 x VGA for external screen / 6 x USB2.0 ports / 1 x parallel port
    - 2 x PS/2 porta for external mouse and keyboard / 1 x 10/100/1000 Mbit network RJ45 port
    - 1 x RJ 11 (56k modem) / 1 x Headphone out / 1 x Microphone in
    - 1 x Serial port 9 pin / 1 x AC power in / 1 x Kensington lock system
    - 1 x Coaxial 5.1 Surround

What is the point of a dockingstation? Are you in need of serial and parallel connections? Then I would suggest buying an USB-hub and USB to Serial/Parallel interface cables (less then 10€ each)

The point with a dockingstation is that you can have everything connected to it and then just plug the machine in the docking station when you get home and everything it connected in a snap. No need to fiddle with plugging in USB devices into the USB connection on the laptop.

Yeah but that's unfortunately what it cost. We hardly make any money off of the docking stations. They are one of the most expensive accessories for our machines to buy from our supplier.

Aside from the convenience factor of only one thing to plug in, the other advantage of a docking station is that it usually offers some ports which are not available in the notebook. For me, that would be the stronger reason to buy one. Otherwise it does not take long to plug in power, mouse and network (if not using wireless).
