Does anyone know? Is the Hgl30 as sturdily built as the Hel80?

    Thanks.

The HGL30 is quite sturdily built, but it doesn't have the aluminum bits that the HEL80 does. Depends on your taste. I wouldn't mind the aluminum, but I wanted a 14" machine a LOT more than I cared about the aluminum. And the teal lid is quite nice, and it sets my machine apart from almost everyone else's.

Would you say it's better built than the Asus A8js or the Asus F3Jp?

I have a buddy who owns an Asus A8js. I would say the build quality is about the same (quite excellent).

They are extremely similar including the same sort of fake aluminum coating.
