Hello!...
Anyway, im trying to dig up information on this laptop soon? to come, since if im right, it may very well be PERFECT for my uses... although also my question of when it will be acutaly avalible is good too.
Stats:
Cpu
Any solo or duo, and of course to come meroms mostlikely.
Ram
2x1gb 677mhz ddr2 ram max
Screen
14.0'' 1280x768
or
14.1'' 1280x800
(pity there was no 1440x900...)
Video
Interestingly enough, the X1300, X1400 and X1600 are all listed, although the X1300 is listed, probobly incorreclty, sperately. This comes to suggest in my mind its modular, prehaps one of the standard ones if were lucky... ive yet to find any information in respect to this infortunately.
Something about a built in usb interface tv tuner??? sounds nice.
Cd/dvd drive
Seems it uses the most standardised ones on the market in notebooks, so, nearly anything you want.
4x usb 2.0 ports, right about where i like it (4-5...)
1x firewire port, miniature i suspect
1x vga out
1x "tv out" mostlikely the video type from a composite or svid, hopefully the latter as has been a good trend
onboard 10/100/1000 wired lan card
mini card intel wifi card(arnt there a few others that can usualy fit these? i realy find intel wifi cards to be shoddy pos-es... something us robotics would be beliveible... but if not meh whatever, just curiousity hitting here)
something about bluetooth and usb interface, exactly how this works unclear... if its just a usb bluetooth adapter that you stick in, lame, if its internal, not bad.(like my sonys 100% useless memory stick slot...)
( " Support bluetooth or TV-Tuner alternatively" not a good sign for this)
Optional built in camera, (i dont realy care...)
One express card slot (duh)
6 cell li-Ion battery... youd think wed see some newer batteries soon *sighs*
Something about a 4 in one card reader...
And thats pretty much it, the systems none to impressive to start, but... potential i see. ( say that last bit in a yoda impersination, and boyah)
Ill update this if anyone finds something more... that isnt a incredibly trivial feature (like... oooh it has a mic port, duh... we dont care, now if it didnt THAT would be news)
Oh id also like to start a list of systems that are based off it... since there should be a few.
