I had Vista Home Premium installed on my EL80, but some of my programs still won't work with it, so I decided I would roll back to Windows XP.

I was able to install all the drivers with the exception of the Video Drivers, when I download the latest geforce Go 7 series drivers from Nvidia, it tells me I don't have the product and it can't install.

My machine is slow in the following ways, when I scroll down on a page there is a pause, and it seems to be generally slugish.

I tried to roll back the bios to an earlier version, but the bios flash software(run from windows) tells me I already have the newest or a newer version of bios.

I'm going to try and make a bootable CD later today, but my question is, is this slowness related to the video drivers, and do I really need to roll back the bios to use Windows XP?

    Thanks in advance, great website!

You need to install modified video drivers. Download them from your vendors site or any of the other EL80 vendors or head to laptopvideo2go.com
