Compal's web site says that the EL81 is "Intel MEROM design ready". Will all of them work, or is there a list of which ones will? Thank you, Jerry.

Only T7X00 where X is an even number should work.

    Specifically the Core 2 Duo T7600 (2.33GHz), T7400 (2.16GHz), T7200 (2.00GHz). Also the Core 2 Duo T5600 (1.83GHz), T5500 (1.66GHz) should work as well.

    The T7300, T7500,T7700, T8X00/T9X00(Penryn) will not work.

Like this list (make sure you're looking at the correct socket)?

I have a T7100 (SLA4A) but since it is not an even number I'm assuming it won't work.

Yep...as long as its a Socket M processor it should work. Socket P processors(T7100, T7300,7500,etc) are for the Compal IFL90(Mobile Intel 965 chipset).

Also you may need a BIOS update for the C2D to work.

The T7100 will not work since its Socket P which has different pin configurations then Socket M so the pins wont line up.
