Does anybody know if they will update this notebook with newest pascals in the future ?
A little pricey, and I don't think it will come to EU soon...

I'd think the answer would be "yes", if EVGA wants to compete. However, no one has mobile Pascal at the moment. It hasn't even been officially announced.

Yeah, EVGA is a massive nVIDIA partner. There is no way they'd invest as much money as they have into the 980m without planning for a Pascal refresh.

Even their 4K display is telling.

Here's the updated EVGA SC17 w/ Nvidia GTX 1070 graphics:
    www.evga.com/articles/01044/evga-sc17-1070-laptop/

I don't think they changed anything but the graphics card. I haven't found it for sale, but I'd expect it to be at the same price point as the original, $2,699.

if you press notify me on the webpage, it shows 100bucks more expensive (i.e. 2799.99USD)
EVGA laptop looks super good, what a shame it cost so much and doesn't come with more options

Check if they have GTX 1080 option available - just in case if you decide to upgrade your GPU later.

Can this thin laptop handle 1080? Have Evga redesigned the cooling in the machine for bigger graphics TDP?

Everybody know thinner newer laptops haven't MMX and can be upgraded. But OEM's have more than 1 setup you can order

Has anyone had any hinge issues? Mine is making a squeaking sound when I open up the lid. Not too severe but is there.
