I am interested in a luxury Notebook. I have seen on www.ewbrokers.com nice Ego-lifestyle notebooks at a really good price. What do you think of this brand ?

    Thanks.

This "ego lifestyle" you talk about...

Does that mean the ego you regain from buying a laptop after spending $20k on a pursetop? If so, buy a gold plated Macbook Pro, and wire me the $15k left over. I'll send you an ego booster certificate. Guaranteed to boost ego by 3 points, and strength by 1.

Lol, for that price you get a Turion 64, not even a dual core.

I really like the looks of these notebooks. I would not seriously consider buying one because of the weight and the fact that the ATI express graphics 1110 they use are pretty old. They could at least have updated to 1250 or 1270 express graphics by now. Battery life is not to great either. The processor, ram and hard drive and rest of the package are quite decent though.
I emailed this company and expressed to them that i think that this product needs to slim down and also that it is due a refresh. I got a reply back telling me that they are working on these things and that this product will be slimmer in 2009 and it will sport up to date specs as well. 2009 is a long time to wait. The weight of the laptop 5.4lbs for a 12.1 laptop is just to heavy.
A better weight would be about 4.5lbs or under.

I'm pretty sure that Barney's or is it Macy's in the US sell some of these notebooks for about $4,000 USD for some of the signature ranges of this notebook which is quite a bit cheaper than the $9,000 price tag given for a lot of those laptops in the OP's link. If i ever was to get one of these laptops i would have to buy one in the States and take it home to the UK.
