I went to play an WMV HD disc tonight and the 6130 won't recognize it. I went to the MS WMV HD site and they can check your system to see if it qualifies. It seems the 6130 can handle HD video okay, but it reported that, AGP Fast Write was disabled. It needs to be enabled. So, this is a dumb question. Where do I change this setting? I went to the ATI display applet, and could not find anything remotely mentioning AGP Fast Write!

Sure would like to watch my 'Coral Reef Adventure' in stunning HD.

Do you have the omega graphic drivers? if so, try the Radeon Omega Drivers part of the start>programs menu>Advanced SmartGart Options. If some of those are set to know, just hit retest all. the system will restart, and they should come on. Also if you go into advanced display properties, and go to the options tab, there is a check box for WMV acceleration.
    Try that

    RadcomTxx,

Thanks for the reply. I'm not presently using the Omega drivers, but I did DL them and may try them tonight. Hardware acceration is already turned on.

After doing a bit more investigation last night, I learned that the AGP Fast Write is usually a BIOS option setting. Unfortunately, there's nothing remotely available in the 6130 BIOS for changing the AGP settings.[ :(]

I've been warned that enabling AGP fast write would only enable features that are not really used by most applications, causing problems and instabilities in some rare cases.

I don't think you will benefit any increase in speed, I would rather leave it off. You'd better make sure AGP 8x is activated.
