I've got a dead number 6 on my laptop...I've used compressed air...elecctronics cleaner...all the normal stuff and no luck.

Could it possible be a system problem? or is it a physical problem? Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

    Follow up:

toast...cleaned it, took off the key, took out the keyboard..all that. No luck. Looks like it's a new keybaord. Also FYI...these laptops suck, cheaper than crap terrible typing, bad mouse and but for getting it dirt cheap on E-Bay I have no clue why anyone would ever buy an Everex/Avaratec.

I thought Everex was a US branding of Fujitsu laptops, not Averatec.

I don't know about that..BUT I know that the averatec 2200 series laptop looks pretty darn close and it's the same keyboard....not 100% sure though..

well that last post got me thinking..so I looked at the Averatec 2371 manual and the Everex SA2052T manual they are identical..same everything..layout..font...all that. Then if you dig around the forms you learn that the everex and averatec use a bios that seems to work with each other. I think that the everex/averatec are just computers makers that seem to use generic parts. Anyone?
