After my 2370 was hit with a power surge that seems to have knocked out the BIOS, the fastest way to replace it was with the virtual twin Everex Stepnote ST5340T. The only difference is a slightly faster processor.

Well within one month, the wi-fi went out. OfficeMax would have replaced it under their 30-day policy, but they were completely sold out and not reordering this specific model. I turned to Everex. It did take some calm yet assertive discussions with Everex tech support, but they DID do an advance replacement (send me a new unit secured by credit card before receiving the malfunctioning unit).

Okay, it may not have been easy, but the point is Everex LISTENED, and was WILLING to move me up the decision chain, and KEPT their promises. :)

Wow. I didn't know Everex still existed! I tried to download a driver for the PCI bus on one of their models, and it was like the Everex support had slid off the face of the earth!
