The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. I have an identical twin to the Averatec 2371 - the Everex Stepnote ST5340T. Everex appears to be owned by the motherboard people, FIC.

For over a month now, the Everex parent site has been very slow, and the user forum is just plain missing in action. When I emailed Everex's contact address, it bounced ... but I got a read receipt from someone associated with FIC.

Given the current economy, the above leads me to wonder if another bottom tier company is fading into the sunset.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit. Look at the news about Circuit City yesterday. And they still don't have any type of doorbuster deals on laptops to entice people into the store.
