I was wondering if anyone has successfully used an Firewire 800 adapter express card on an HEL-80.

I recently had problems with one (the system didn't see the card - no "Found new hardware" or anything!) and the support technician for the card said that the express card slot might not support IEEE 1394b if it is an older version.

I would think that the system would at least see the card, even if it didn't know what it was supposed to do. Will the card show up in the device manager only when it is inserted, or should it be present even when there is no card inserted?

    Any help is appreciated, thanks!
