HI, myy FL-90 died on me about a week ago, when i turn it on, there's only a blank screen of death.. and after 6 seconds it automaticaly turn off... :-(

I've Bought it in august 2007, and never before had problems with it..

I think the 8600gt died on me, so i've bought a ATI 3650 HD on ebay to replace it... after hearing about nvidia Big number of defective chips, and what happened on me, I never wan't nvidia chips again!!

Anyone can help? Suggestions would be really appreciated.

I think my video card is gone too, hahah it's frightning to read about 2 dead cards for a week, but that's it...

How it happened? I started CODWAW and here we go big squares and lines on the screen, I turned it off, when it loaded windows there was HARDWARE MALFUNCTION blue screen, I successfully started windows under safe mode and deleted the driver (dox 181.22), then installed 180.84. I was able to start windows normally, but when I started the game FFFffuuuu**** it was the same all over again, only this time when I turned on my notebook I saw white screen at first, and after 5 secs it started to become black with colorful vertical lines at some places. I don't know how, but I was able to start it again and do some artifact scanning (ati tool) - I did only 5 secs test when it all went crazy, showing a lot of artifacts and then bang! squares and ect. now I can't start the notebook it shows me only the white - black screen with vertical lines = ugly picture. I called my vendor, and told him what has happened, I got 2 years warranty, so it's still in warranty...

    any comments?

My notebook came from China several days ago (exactly a month after I gave it to be repaired)... What can I say...all that is left from the actual laptop are the RAM modules, my hard drive and the screen, they have changed everythnig else, now I even have a fingerprint reader... hahah The one thing that bothers me are the CPU temperatures - (look at the attachment) the difference is 8 degrees after running 3dmark06 for 20 minutes = 3 repeats of each test. What do you think about that?

p.s. The GPU temp seems normal (as you see) - the result in 3dMark06 is 3979 with dox182.05
