Has anyone a SSD drive installed in a FL90 PM1?

Can you give me an ideia of the performance boost with this drive versus sotck HDD on this laptop?

    Tks!

If you keep your T7300 and the 8600 GT I'm pretty sure that in terms of games you will not see any performance boost. Although copying and such stuff should of course be faster, but in terms of game you should upgrade your CPU and GPU first, which both be possible for the price of a SSD.

I agree with daniel. It will improve loading times, but gaming preformance will remain untouched.

I do have a quick recommendation for you though... totally unrelated. I noticed in your sig you are running x64 windows 7 on 2 gb of RAM. If you want to see some real preformance increase... see if you can grab yourself 4GB.

I'm planning not running any game other than CS-Source. ;)

I just want to improve the OS system performance and battery lifetime. Now I only can achieve about 2 hours of web browsing with wlan on, agaist the 2:30h when I bought the laptop. :(

I'm planning also to upgrade the memory but, here in Portugal, the SO-DIMMs PC5300 are out of stock on so many stores and the price is "sky high"... (about 40% more expensive from 6 months ago).

About the graphic card, which is the MXM version on FL90 PM1?

    Tks!! ;)

It's MXM-II and you can upgrade to a hd3650 which is much better than the 8600m you have and it is cooler too. I think it uses less power too so you should have a better battery life. About the battery lasting 2h instead of 2h30, that just means that your battery is getting old. Undervolting your CPU will aslo increase the battery life.
