    FL90 - Latest Nvidia Forceware can not be used, why?

    Troubleshooting a issue with the laptop I found this:

    I decided to download the latest Nvidia Forceware drivers but for my surprise I got the following message from the Nvidia web site:

    Then I went to the Compal web site but the latest driver from Compal is the same version that I'm using already. The version from the Nvidia site is 169.25.

    Why we can not use the latest version?

    Nope you dont have to search for compal [​IMG] just download the latest driver for the version of windows that you are running plus the modified inf file. Then extract the driver and replace the original inf by the modded one and launch the setup.

    I've been running version 167.45 on my IFL and they've been the most stable vga drivers I've had yet. No more display driver stopped responding stuff while playing COD4!!!

    I'm running 169.28, this new beta drivers keep getting better and better so I try not to fall back. :)

    I recommend installing through Have Disk, it's much safer way and proved to be always working. Remember to remove old drivers and restart pc before installing new ones.

    P.S. All 169.xx drivers let you OC + massive performance increase.

    I stopped my choice on a close one, 167.43 by SONY and find it the best current driver for IFL90.

    I have the 169.04 driver with the NTUNE utility.
    Some games need the get good results so NTUNE is used to OC VGA.

    Games played and are running perfectly, so no lag and or other issue!!!!
