    Hi Guys,

My FL90 randomly turned off on me the other day, i thought there was a power cut or something but i realised i had the battery in. I turned it back on and started typing, i nearly burnt myself on the keyboard as the laptop was so hot. I put my hand round the back of it and the fan isnt going.

Anyways i looked on the forums and there are similar posts, with replies, iv done the following checks:

    - dust, theres no dust it was cleaned out about 6 weeks back
    - upgraded bios to latest beta version, from 1.18 to 1.19, that didnt work so its back to 1.18
    - replace the fan, done, cost be $45 but doesnt work

any clues? is there a chip controlling the fan thats buggered?

    Thanks guys
