Anyone know of a replacement for the fingerprint reader on this laptop. Mine stopped being detected by windows, then detected occasionally as unknown device, then the strip fell off LOL. guess i used it too much and don't think i could own another laptop without one

So it appears it's a tcs4ba board. there's a couple boards available online for toshiba's, dell's, thinkpads, etc but the retailers aren't too specific and since i use the laptop for work and home i don't have the time to crack it open and get a better look till this weekend. removing the dvd drive doesn't give a good enough view. all i can tell is it's a turquoise pcb

I assume the Upek chipset isn't as important as the fitment and motherboard headers. I currently installed the lenovo 5.9 ps ql in an effort to fix the unknown device error and i wanted to upgrade to firefox 3.6 which requires 5.9. not afraid to modify if needed but would like some help if someone has a good idea what may work.

anyone with a damaged fl92 but complete shell with reader looking to sell please contact me as well
